Native to Brazil, the Silver Vase Bromeliad is an easy to care for tropical plant that thrives in bright, non-direct light. They make a great statement houseplant, with their unique silvery grey leaves surrounding a bright pink ‘flower.’ Though it looks like one, this isn’t actually the flower, but the flower stalk! Eventually, tiny blue flowers will bloom on this pink stalk. In its natural environment, these Bromeliads grow as epiphytes- growing on the bark of trees or other plants. In nature, they collect rain water in their central ‘vase'. The best way to water them is to keep this reservoir full of water, refilling with fresh water once a week, in addition to watering into the soil.
Plant height approximately 1.5' (6" pot size)
Sunlight - Thrives in bright, non-direct light
Watering - Allow top few inches of soil to dry between watering
- While the diameter of the plant’s pot (6") is consistent, the overall height and width will vary from plant to plant and depends on nature itself.
- All plants are sold in a plastic grower’s pot. They do not include a decorative pot.
