Native to Brazil, the Pineapple is a fruiting plant that does best in bright, direct sunlight. Pineapple plants are a type of Bromeliad, which means that they only fruit once. But do not fear! Once your pineapple is fully ripened, keep the plant around and watch for new, baby pineapple plants around the base. If cared for properly, each of these little plants can produce their own fruit! These plants are able to absorb moisture through their leaves and have small root systems, so they don’t need to be watered too often. Wait until the soil dries out, then water the soil and leaves. Pineapples have historically symbolized friendship and welcoming, making them a great gift!

Plant height approximately 18"
